Rtn Yezdi Batliwala – Director Foundation 4.Rtn Sunil Holay – Treasurer President Aruna called the meeting to order and welcomed all. She congratulated IPP Zimra Israel for the excellent work done in 2022-23 and for the 15 District Awards won by our club. Minutes of the last Board meeting held on 27th June 2023, were approved and adopted- proposed by Rtn PNN Iyer and seconded by Rtn Sujata Malkani. A. Treasurer’s Report read by Rtn. Rajendra Nahar i. Up till now 50 members have paid their subscription dues for the current year. ii. As on15th July,2023 Club account shows balance of Rs.14,84,112.7 iii. As on 24th July,2023 RCPD Charitable Trust Account shows balance of Rs.7,68,092.62 iv. As on 24th July,2023 RCPD Charitable Trust CSR account shows balance of Rs.37,51,599.80 v. Expense details for July 2023 will be provided in the next BOD. B. Director Without Portfolio Rtn. Rajendra Nahar i. Change of signatories in RCPD bank accounts is to be done and the process is on. It was decided that President, Secretary and Treasurer will be the new Signatories. ii. It was proposed and approved to raise the salary of executive assistant Govind Ekurge from Rs. 7500 to Rs. 9000. iii. Approval taken online for a new laptop for the club costing Rs 40,785 was formalised in the meeting. iv. Approval for gift boxes for guest speakers, each costing Rs 350, was proposed and approved. C. Community Service Medical Rtn.Vinod Dua’s report was read. i. Eye Check-up Camp on 12-14 August in Purandar High School & Junior College, Saswad, having 750 students. Cost will be Approximately Rs.30,000. Rotary Club of Pune Camp is interested in joining. Then the cost may come down to approximately Rs.20,000. ii. LN-4 Camp will be held in Songir Dist Dhule, from 25-28 August, in coordination with Joshaba Sanskritic Krida Mandal. Expecting a minimum of 100 fitments of LN-4 hands. Estimated cost is Rs. 25000. iii. Inali Camp At Mettupalayam in Tamil Nadu, from 8-10 September collaborating with the local Rotary Club. Expecting 150 fitments of INALI hands. Estimated cost Rs.45000 iv. Inali Camp in Chandigarh in collaboration with the local Rotary Club, on 6-8 October Expecting:150 hand fitments: COST 30000. D. Community Service Non-medical Rtn. Bageshri Gogate’s report was read. i. Smart Phones were distributed to 11 visually impaired students at the Low Vision Aid Centre. ii. Laptops were given to 10 visually impaired students at SP College. iii. We have received a request for !3 School Kits from Aditi Nikam a social worker from the Market yard area. E. Youth Service Rtn. Shailendra Abhyankar, Director Youth Service reported: i. Installations of 3 Interact Clubs namely, Sunderji Stars, Erin Nagarwala School and Community Based Interact club of Poona Downtown were held during the month of July. ii. Charter for new Interact club of Kasturba Gandhi School has been received- Installation will be done soon. iii. Installation of Rotaract Club of Symbiosis Skills University is scheduled for 30th September. iv. Rotary Youth Exchange student Sunesh Jain who is going to Mexico will be invited to the club for Rotary information. v. Rtn. Kiran Thakur will be the RYE Club Counsellor for the inbound student from Brazil. vi. RYLA to be held sometime the November/December/January quarter. F. Membership i. Speaking about the need to add more young members, Rtn. PNN Iyer proposed that membership drive be targeted at young. ii. He proposed a token remuneration of Rs 10,000 for our guest speaker Mr, Rachit Kulshreshta who is physically disabled. The BOD agreed. This amount will be solely contributed by the Board Members. G. Public Image Rtn. Sujata Malkani gave the following update. i. To enhance RCPD’s public image information of RCPD projects is being posted on the District Chat Group ii. Facebook and Instagram handles of the club will also be revived. Other matters. • It was proposed and accepted to simplify the Board meetings to tea and snacks and hold a dinner with spouses every 3 months, which will be hosted by 3 BOD members. • Directors were requested to put in their inputs for the club assembly to be held on the 27th of July 2023. • The next BOD meeting will be held on 23rd August, 2023. The meeting was adjourned at about 6.45 pm. |
