| Minutes of Meeting | The mild, misty nip in the air, aromatic & a romantic decor at Cedar Park saw the gathering of the RCPD Parivar. 11th November evening was all set for a fun filled feast. Parivar members stylishly walked in with beaming, affectionate smiles dressed in the best of festive garments. Such a well bonded lot. Lots of greetings, spirited exclamations, peals of laughter, and celebration in full swing. The garden space was subtly lit to highlight the horticultural beauty. The take-off was an announcement by our dear Yezdi that the Hathiramani Foundation had donated Rs 30 lakhs. The meeting was called to order by our dear Masarrat, with the National Anthem in chorus. The surprise element was a musical interlude. A harmonium performance par excellence, of Bollywood songs based on raag Yaman, followed by rendition of a popular ghazal & 'Oh meri zohrazubi' on request. This was followed by many songs on the Harmonica alongside the Karaoke track. The acoustics were very sound. All three musicians are Rotarians. The Bar was a no holds barred affair, duly sponsored by some of our generous fellow Downtowners. Dinner was a well-earned delight. Delicious cuisine of select dishes. The gathering fell five short of a century. 95 of us fully freaked out. We missed those who couldn't make it. The Fellowship Committee is a habitual performer and a serial exceller & exceeder of their past excellence. |
