| Minutes of Meeting | On the 23rd of November, we had our very own member Rtn PP Anil Goel speak to us on Rotary Foundation. He spoke on the foundation that began with just 26.50 USD in 1917 by the then outgoing RI President Arch Klumph, is now spending more than 4 billion USD on life changing sustainable projects. Further elaborating he spoke on Rotary Foundation that caters to seven thrust areas namely- Peace and Conflict Prevention/ Resolution, Disease Prevention and Treatment, Water and Sanitation, Maternal and Child Health, Basic Education and Literacy and Economic and Community Development. Contributions could be made to the Rotary Foundation by way of Annual Program Fund, Permanent fund, Polio Fund and the Endowment Fund. Donors are then recognised for their commitment and are offered individual and club recognition. Individual recognition could be- • Rotary Foundation Sustaining Member • Benefactor • Paul Harris Fellow • Multiple Paul Harris Fellow • Paul Harris Society Member • Bequest Society • Major Donor • Arch Klumph Society The Club gets a recognition in the following ways- • 100% Paul Harris Fellow Club • 100% Paul Harris Society Club • 100% Foundation Giving Club- Our Club has been consistently the highest contributor to District 3131 Until a few years ago we were a 100% PHF club. India is the third highest Rotary Foundation contributing nation after USA and Japan! The talk was moderated by Rtn PP Yezdi Batliwala. PDG Madhav Borate also contributed to the talk. All in all it was an informative talk! |
