Minutes of Meeting Present: Rtn Aruna Rathi, Rtn Sujata Malkani, Rtn Bageshri Gogate, Rtn PNN Iyer, Rtn Shikha Mitra, Rtn Vinod Dua, Rtn Rajendra Nahar, Rtn Zimra Israel, and Rtn Sunil Holay Leave of Absence: Rtn Yezdi Batliwala, Rtn. Masarrat Tavawala, Rtn Shailendra Abhyankar Proceedings President Aruna welcomed everyone. Minutes of the 7th BOD Meeting held on 11th January 2024 were proposed to be adopted by Rtn Vinod Dua, seconded by. Rtn Zimra Israel and thereafter unanimously adopted by the Board. He requested all Directors to get prepared for the upcoming AG and DG Visits, on the 22nd February and 7th March respectively. The directors presented their reports. A. Treasurer’s Report • Rtn Sunil Holay reported that the balance in our Club and Trust accounts on 31th December2023 were as follows: • 1) Statement showing Receipts & payments up to 31/01/2024 of Trust A/c • 2) Statement showing Receipts & payments up to 31/01/2024 of CSR A/c B. Club Administration -Vice President Rtn Masarrat Tavawalla reported: • The Program Committee has organized and presented: • Informative, and interesting talks on varied topics • Interactive quiz and games • Music and poetry session • The Bulletin Committee are doing excellent work More interesting programs in the offing! C. Community Service Medical – Rtn Vinod Dua laid out his plans for the next 6 months • 300 INALI Hands fitments in February and March • 25 Tricycle Shops to be distributed by June • Dental Checkup camps to cover 800 school children • 2 more eye Checkup camps to cover 500 children • Nutrition packets for 200 beneficiaries – funds required 8.40 lakhs- funds confirmed 2 lakhs-request members to come forward to fill the deficit. D. Community Service Non-Medical: Rtn. Bageshri Gogate reported: Work for Anganwadi Project is in progress. Four Anganwadis have been selected and a list of the requirements in these Anganwadis have been received, and Rtn Rajesh Gupta will be overseeing this project. Submission of proper bills from Rajesh Gupta for the materials needed has been requested E. Public Image- Director Rtn. Sujata reported: i. All projects have been reported on the District WhatsApp groups. ii. Dialysis Center and Gift of Mobility Posters have been pasted on Auto Rickshaws, which is giving a great public image for the Club. All other projects posted on district groups are also getting good appreciation. F. Youth Service- Director Rtn. Shailendra reported: • Our interact clubs (Sunderji Stars and Pujya Kasturba Gandhi school) are actively participating in the upcycling project and have attended the workshop that was conducted by the district team • Sundarji Stars participated in Interact Assembly • Also participated in Interact District Conference • All four interact clubs are active and doing good work • RYE students are doing well, and participating in Club events • RYLA ON THE PLAN G. Foundation- Director PP Rtn Yezdi Batliwala reported Rs. USD 1. a. APF collection up to 20.02.2024 18,74,801 22,718.82 b. Polio collection up to 20.02.2024 10,000 120.48 c. CSR donation from Duroshox Pvt.Ltd. 31,42,000 37,855.42 for Radiation Center Global Grant d. Cow Donation Global Grant by members 1,05,000 1265.06 Total Giving for TRF for the year 51,21,801 61,839.30 2. The Global Grant GG2456879 “RCPD-Janaseva Foundation Vocational Skilling Centre”. Application should be filled mid-April. Value of Grant Rs. 47.5 Lakhs 3. From the Donation of Rs.30,00,000 (Rs. Thirty Lakhs Only) which was received from Rtn. Suresh Balani from USA, his permission has been taken to divert the Rs. 10 Lakhs allotted for Cancer Nutrition towards the District Thrust Project on Pediatric Cardiac Surgery. The fresh break up is as under: a) Improvement of Anganwadis, especially in Rural areas – Rs. 10 Lakhs b) Pediatric Cardiac Surgeries – Rs. 20 Lakhs. 4. We have approached Shirdi Saibaba Sanjeevani Hospital, Kharghar, with a proposal to partner us on the Pediatric Cardiac Surgeries Project as a Global Grant of value Rs. 34.94 lakhs. Cost of each Surgery average about Rs. 1.5 lakhs, so we should be able to save and help about 24 to 25 underprivileged children with a healthy life. USA based Rotary club which Rtn Balani is a member has been approached to join us as a Notional Partner for the Grant. Final modalities are being worked out with Sanjeevani and District. 5. “SHRI BAHRI MALHOTRA RESIDENTIAL & VOCATIONAL TRAINING HOME FOR GIRLS” – The CSR Grant is nearing completion. Final payments are being made. The official opening of the home was done by Former President Hon’ble Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 8th January 2024. Closure Report will be filed on schedule by end May 2024. PLANS TILL END OF ROTARY YEAR 2023-24 a. Total APF and Polio Collection Rs.21,32,000 (US$ 25,800) b. Total TRF giving for the year Rs.1,33,00,000(US$ 160,241) H. Membership and Strategic Planning- Director Rtn PP Iyer reported: He stressed on the factors that Downtown needs • Better attendance, involvement and participation Plan • Improve interaction with our truant members • Aim to enhance membership by 5% • Induct members in the age group of 40-50 years • Interacting with some MNC’s in the vicinity I. IPP Rtn Zimra Israel reported: Rtn Zimra mentioned that there is a CSR amount of RS 3.55 lakhs from Darshana Industries which has been allotted towards activities of the RCPD Dialysis Centre. Permission form the Donor was taken in the form of a letter which was handed over to the Treasurer 22-23 Rtn Rajendra Nahar who has put it in the Dialysis file. It was requested that this amount not be clubbed with the rest of the Trust account and a Line item for the same be clearly mentioned (as is with other accounts e.g. LN4) in each of the monthly Accounts statements. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned after a vote of thanks to the host.
