RCPD was invited by Mr. Matkar, Adhyaksha, Lokmanya Tilak Pratham Prasthapit Ganapati Mandal for a presentation on Eye Donation Awareness Programme on 2nd September 2017 at4:30 pm. This place is located at Sardar Vinchurkar Wada, in Sadashiv Peth where Lokmanya Tilak, Swami Vivekanand and numerous great personalities once lived. Vinchurkar Wada was also a witness to the country's independence struggle. Built by Sardar Vinchurkar, who served in the Peshwa Darbar, the wada is located on Kumthekar Road, and has two significant historical associations:It was where LokmanyaTilak launched his newspaper Kesari in 1881 and, more importantly, it was the venue for the city’s first community Ganeshotsav celebrations in 1894. Pradeepbhai made a heart touching presentation. It was followed by very interactive Question Answer session.Dr Bageshri's participation in the Q&A session,was very much appreciated by the audience and they suggested to Dr Bageshri to come again and give another talk on 'Eye Care' in the near future. The Audience promised to make their society 100% eye donor society. From the club Rajesh, Shailendra, Phiroze,Ravi, Shabbirbhai,Jitubhai, Pradeepbhai and Dr.Bageshri participated in the programme. Manoj Disle and Sanjay Maske were our Non Rotarian colleagues on this program . This program was arranged through the efforts and contacts of Mr. Manoj Dislale.
