RCPD conducted a Blood Donation Drive at Pune University on 7th Oct. 2017. The event flowed with seamless precision due to the efforts of our Ann. Dr. Ameeta Ravikumar& PP Dr. Ravi kumar. RCPD with the active participation of The Institute Of Bioinformatics & Biotechnology ( IBB ), & Ruby Hall Clinic had a full day event from 9.30am to 5pm. Total blood collected was 131 units. The student volunteers & our members were with us as always. Information : Each unit of blood donated will be processed to make 3 sachets. (One having only platelets, another having only RBC, & a third having only blood plasma), to be used to treat 3 patients depending on the need. Thus our 131 units of blood collected will actually be used to treat 393 patients.
