This camp was held at Bhagalpur Bihar, 2000 Kms from Pune. Rtn Anil Chadda had written to them 4 months ago, and since then he was in constant contact with them. After lots of difficulty it was held on 22nd April 2018. Earlier it was decided that camp will be conducted jointly by R C Vikramshila Pink a Ladies Club headed by Rtn Chandana Chaudhry, R C Vikramshila, R C Bhagalpur and R C Sultangunj. Later R C Bhagalpur and R C Sultangunj withdrew from the Project. Rtn Anil Chadda, created a Whatsapp group for better communication with them, for last 3 months he has been replying to all querries about LN 4 Hand , and eligibility of individual cases based on photograph sent by them. This exercise has proved very effective in motivating the core group as also a considerable reduction in rejections of non-eligible beneficiaries having less than 4” stump. Before reaching Bhagalpur all of us travelling by different trains had experienced delay of our trains by 6 to 8 hrs. On 21st Pradeepbhai gave LN 4 presentation to both the clubs, among Rotarians R C Vikramsila Pink ladies were more attentive and active. Rtns Chandana, Preeti Pandey and few more Rtns were very active during the camp. Few members of R C Vikramshila also worked hard, the Rotarian who worked the most is Bijoy Anand who happened to be husband of Rtn Chandana Chaudhry president of R C Vikramshila Pink, Rtn Amit Anand , and Rtn R. B. Singh ‘Binod ji’ were very active . The outcome of the camp was that we could bring smiles on the faces of 78 recipients. A 26 year old Saddam Hussain is blind. He used to sell sundry items on train to earn his livelihood. Some notorious guys pushed him out of a running train. He lost both his hands in this accident. He attended our camp with his parents Mohammed Kamal and Ansari Bibi. Ansari Bibi was given the training of how to help Saddam hold spoon, fork etc. The triumphant smile on Saddam’s face after having been able to eat the cucumber slices on his own by his new hand was the most satisfying moment of this camp. AG of the District 3250 Rtn Pravin Singh who is from R C Vikramshila was present for full day. His daughter Bhavya celebrated her birthday working as volunteer along with her father for LN 4 camp, she also planted a tree near the venue of LN 4 camp. Later in the evening AG Rtn Pravin Singh invited us for a dinner at his residence. There we saw a small scale factory for manufacturing bio degradable ‘Pankh’ Sanitary Napkins run by Bhavya. She runs this NGO for benefit of school children and poor women. She does this on ‘no profit no loss’ basis, and is able to sell these napkins only at Rs 2 each. All of us were impressed by this activity managed by a young girl Bhavya who had recently finished her college education. Setting up of LN-4 center at Darbhanga with RC Darbhanga Pradeep Munot, Shabbir Jamnagarwala and Anil Chadda visited Patna on 23rd April and had a meeting with Rotary Club of Darbhanga and signed MOU for Setting up of LN-4 Center with President Dr. Gouri Shankar Jha and President Elect of Rotary Club of Darbhanga.
