On 11th Feb, we had 17-18's first LN-4 Camp at Panvel. The camp was organized as a Synergy Project by 10 Rotary Clubs of Panvel led by Rtn. Vikram Dhumal. The pre-camp training was carried out on 10th Feb evening, this was well attended by members of the various Rotary Clubs of Panvel area. RCPD Team of 11 members was led by Pradeep Munot, Rajesh Gupta, Anil Chadda, Deepika Chadda, Asis Ray, Ipsita Ray,Shabbir Jamnagarwala, Rashida Jamnagarwalla, and volunteers Hareesh, Nitin and Hasan Miyan. We fitted 87 hands by end of the day, RCPD team was assisted by the Rotarians and Rotoractors of Panvel and last but not the least the local volunteers. The narratives of how the beneficiaries lost their hands emotionally wrenched us. We got to meet really spirited and gifted people, who enjoyed their first real independent meal and sketched a caricature after they were fitted with an LN-4 hand.
