While organizing Blood Donation Camps in various colleges in the past Rotary Club of Poona Downtown has discovered that a large percentage ofgirls suffer from anemia. Hence RCPD has undertaken this project to screen 2000 girl students in rural schools and provide medicines and effective counseling to these anemic girls so that this situation can be reversed. If this problem in girls students is not addressed now at this age it couldcreate medical complications at a later age. RCPD is planning to again screen the same girls after six months to assess the impact of this project. On 25th May 30 girls were screened and 5 were found suffering from Anemia.
