The camp in Jammu jointly hosted by RC Jammu Aastha and RC Jammu Midtown was a great success. 108 LN-4 hands were given, out of which 9 were above elbow. 12 were given with extenders brought from Pune. 15 more enlisted require extenders and 3 require above elbow. Out of 108 cases attended 79 were from J & K, remaining came from Haryana, Punjab, and far away states Bihar, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh. This was the first camp in J & K and it is likely that more cases will keep turning up to Jammu. Right now, road to Srinagar is blocked last 4 days due to landslides and thousands of vehicles are waiting on road to start the traffic. There is a likelihood of quite many people unable to reach to camp site. Host clubs have expressed desire to continue this project in future. This camp was a very rare example of an excellent coordination between two host clubs. They were very ably and enthusiastically assisted by Nursing School students and Rotaractors. Very good support from both the clubs to core team. Rtns Sumil Goyal, Nirmal ji, Rakhi and Sushil Singhal were relentlessly working for the success of camp. Poona Downtown president Rtn Subir Guha led our team of 14. Shaikh Hassan, in spite of the wedding of his daughter on 2nd Sept, participated in the camp.
