We had provided a prosthetic Ottobock Myofacial hand to Anita Shinde few months back and she has got fully trained on the usage. She had her heart set on becoming a doctor but after number of evaluations, we realised it was not an achievable objective. After counselling by Dr Deepika and Dr Ameeta, she is now fully charged up to take UPSC and MPSC examinations. For that purpose, she will be enrolled in a coaching academy in Pune and undertake the studies for a year. Looking at her background, she is in dire need of financial assistance. We expect a total expense of Rs 3 Lakhs to cover tuition fees, hostel charges, books, travel, incidentals, etc. The family will manage Rs 50,000 from their end and the balance Rs 2,50,000 has been contributed by well-wishers namely Anil Goel, Deepika and Anil Chadda, Pradeep Munot, Balakrishna Karwa, Rajendra Nahar, Shabbir Jamnagarwala, Oni Kakajiwala, Nanu Iyer, Phiroze Masters, Yezdi Batliwala, Asis & Ipsita Ray, Zimra and Raymond, Arun Oswal, Kirti Mehta, Shailendra Abhyankar, Jitu Mehta, Subir and Sumita Guha, Ravi kumar, Pinky Mehmi and Sujata Malkani.
