Toilet Blocks for Zilla Parishad School, Wada, Koregaon Bhima..contributed by Rtn Shailendra Abhyankar It is now back to school season - after a long wait due to the pandemic! Very heartening to share that the Zilla Parishad School in Wada, Koregaon Bheema now has a new and sparklingly clean toilet block. The new toilet block was inaugurated on 21st September 2021. This project was executed by RCPD with CSR Funds from Chemetall India. The total cost for this project was Rupees 18 Lakhs. The MOU for this project was signed on 18th November 2020 and despite the pandemic the work was completed in around 9 months! President Rtn. Asis Ray and Mr. V.S. Anand, Managing Director for Chemetall India. inaugurated the school in the presence of the Principal Mr. Midgule, all teachers, and the Sarpanch Mr. Navnath Mali, Rtn. PP Subir Guha and Rtn. Shailendra Abhyankar also graced the occasion. Special thanks to Chemetall, without their funding this project would not have been possible! On this occasion President Rt. Asis Ray also felicitated Mr. V.S. Anand, MD Chemetall for being amongst the top CSR Contributors to Rotary Clubs in District 3131. Thanks also to Rtn. Anil Chadda for coordinating with Chemetall and the Vendor (Usha Enterprises) to ensure timely and quality construction. As 350 students (both girls and boys) return back to school, I am sure that the new toilet block will ensure better hygiene. In earlier years, RCPD had also helped this same school with providing clean drinking water. We have urged the school management to keep the toilet block clean
