KEM Pabal has approx. one acre of land that they want to put to good use. KEMHRC in Pabal runs several training initiatives for the empowerment of women and youth –example nursing assistance, tailoring etc. RCPD has proposed to develop an organic/natural farm. The proceeds from the sale of vegetables/fruits/Ayurvedic herbs can be used to provide training for underprivileged and deserving students..Rotary club of Poona Downtown has taken on a project towards creating sustainable livelihoods and economic opportunities for the community with a focus on women and youth in both rural and urban Pune. This project is funded by generous CSR funds from Chemetall India Pvt Ltd. On Friday October 8th, 2021, President Asis Ray along with First Lady Ipsita, Rtn Pore, Rtn Dr Zimra Israel, and a contingent of senior leaders from Chemetall visited the Pabal Women’s Development and Training Centre run by KEM Research Centre, Pune. Dr Laila Garda and Ms. Varsha Tol along with their staff form KEMHRC gave us an update on the progress of planning and preparation for the ‘Bedside Nurse’s aide’ training program. Online Training of the first batch of 100 beneficiaries is due to begin in November 31
