On the occasion of World Senior Citizen Day, RCPD's Women in Rotary Team and some more Anns visited an old age home , Shivganga at Wanowrie, to meet the inmates, to entertain them and gift them something that they needed. We spent one and a half hour with those 12 inmates, most of whom are literally driven away from their homes.It was organized on 2 october. We invited a group of lady-singers who entertained them with Bhajans. Annett Shravani sang Ghazal and old Filmy song for them that they liked very much. Some of the inmates also started singing with us. We made gift hampers for each of them which contained a gown, tee-shirt for men (there were two men), hair oil, soap and two packets of biscuits . Apart from the gift hampers, we donated tea leaves, sugar, pohe and other groceries that they required. All the gift items were donated by the Rotarians and Anns. It was a very satisfying project for all of us because all the old inmates were really happy and asked us to perform again during Navaratri. Ann Priti and Rtn. Didti are planning to take some of them to our Durga Puja Mandap during the Puja time. Rtns. Dipti, Supriya, Laila and Anns Shikha, Poroochi, Pritie, Manju and Annett Shravani were present for the program.
