The fifth Eye Check Up Camp of this Rotary year and the first of this new year was held at NEW ENGLISH SCHOOL at Sasane nagar, Hadapsar on Tuesday, 2nd February, 2016.The plan was to check the eyes of students from std I to Std V of the primary section in the morning. Team ‘Gift of Vision’, Rtn. Rajesh Gupta, R’spouse Ulhas Bhosale and Ann Pritee Gupta reached the venue at 8.00am. President Supriya and Rtn.Pinki joined thereafter. The doctors’ team led by Dr. Minhaz and Dr. Ankita reached there by 9.00am and the camp started at 9.15am. The school principal Mrs Padma had made all the arrangements and offered all the assistance to our Team. We were provided with two big Class rooms for the doctors to set up their equipments and conduct the checking. We had the well-equipped mobile van with us. The children, who needed special check-up, were taken into the van where special machines were fitted. By 12.30pm we had checked a total of 771 students, out of which 719 students were found normal, 19 students were referred to Dr. Gogate and was asked to see him in his clinic and 33 students will be given spectacles by our club. The principal was very happy to see our well-managed camp which was completed on time. As a gesture of gratitude she offered refreshments to all the volunteers, but it was just another day for Team GOV. Total beneficiaries. 771 Free specs are given to. 19
